Amishville USA was known for many years as the home place for much of the local Amish community. Many families were born and raised on the 120-acre farm. In the late 1960's the Amish family that resided on the farm decided to move out of state. The farm was then opened as an attraction to teach visitors about the Amish.
Tours are offered at this home which still sits on the property and can be used as a back drop for lovely photos. In southern Adams County the Amish use open buggies all year around. A cover is considered an unnecessary luxury. These buggies can be seen travelling throughout the county to this day.
