The whole family can experience a part of history so fascinating and important to the Texas culture, but not often talked about.
The American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame & Museum preserves and interprets the modern uses of the iconic American Quarter Horse. It is home to the living history of the American Quarter Horse. Kids can see in the museum the people and horses who shaped and changed this incredible breed.
Of course, you can't have a Hall of Fame without learning all about the amazing horses and people who earned their place as legends. It's a great way for kids to really get excited about the American Quarter Horse. They can touch tack, see chuck wagon items, learn what horses love to eat, and even pet a real American Quarter Horse for themselves!
They can really get lost in the history of the horse, through the artworks on display (some permanent and some rotating) - all of which depict that iconic Great American western lifestyle.
If kids are considering a career in the equine industry too, the American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame & Museum is a great place for them to learn.
There are a number of areas within the museum which allow kids to really immerse themselves in the topic. The Education Gallery lets kids learn all about what it's like to own a horse. They can learn all about each inductee of the Hall of Fame, and the Grand Hall is the impressive room that houses the legends of these people and horses!
