Where are we going today?
Do you LOVE adventure? Then keep reading, because we're going to tell you all about American Obstacle! This thrilling outdoor adventure park has a super fun Zipline Canopy Tour, with 6 different ziplines, as well as a rock climbing wall AND kayaking! How could you want any more adventure!?
It was built as a place where everyone could enjoy the great outdoors, and also the opportunity to be just that little bit more extreme if they wanted to!
We know your family want to do something a bit more "challenging" every once in a while - so push yourselves and head on down to have an amazing time!
There are two distinct adventures at American Obstacle. The Zipline Canopy Tour is perfect for just one person, or a group. Don't worry if you have never tried it before - their trained guides will help you get all suited up, as well as help you with all your ropes and get secure.
The Creek Bottom Run includes access via a 40ft climbing wall (the adventure has begun before you even set off!) then you get to take on 3 different zip lines through the woods, as well as two sky bridges. The Lake zip takes you over the water, and the Ultimate Zip lets you spend 4 hours combining the other two runs, where you get to take breaks between the runs - great for those hot days!
If you have more than 6 people in your family, you can try and take on the Group Challenge Course. Always fun to keep it in the family!
American Obstacle is a great way for the family with older kids to really do something different, and to push yourself and challenge yourselves in a beautiful part of Illinois - a nature filled adventure!
