Want to know something fun about Amelia Island State Park? Well, did you know that it's the ONLY state park in Florida to offer horseback riding on the beach? Yep, and YOU can be part of it!

Amelia Island State Park is an easy drive from Jacksonville, and it's here you will find the 200 acres of protected unsoiled wilderness that it protects. The park is home to a variety of landscapes which you can explore. You'll find salt marshes, beautiful beaches, and stunning coastal maritime forests that can give you a glimpse of original Florida.

So make sure you take your camera!

Do you want to hear more about the activities you can enjoy in the state park? Yes, including that horseback riding! You can take 45 minute tours through the forest and along the Atlantic Coast beach. 

The view from the park is breath-taking in itself, however a lot of visitors to the park also go for the fantastic fishing that awaits you. 

You can cast your line, or stroll along the beach collecting seashells. Maybe you want to spend some time just watching the numerous bird species that feed in the area! 

Amelia Island State Park is also a beautiful spot to take the canoe and kayak out, and you can rent your own or take part in a guided tour!

The sunny shores of Amelia Island State Park are the perfect place for a picnic. Pack your lunch and eat on the beach or use the picnic table located next to the Bait and Tackle restrooms.

Lifeguards are not provided so use caution when you enjoy water activities or swimming

The park are committed to providing accessible amenities, including an accessible picnic area, and Kelly Sea Horse Ranch who provide the horseback riding tours can accommodate some riders disabilities
