The past meets the present at the Alutiiq Museum in Kodiak, where you can journey through 7,500 years of Alutiiq heritage via ancient artifacts, and exhibits that showcase how Alutiiq traditions continue!
The museum cares for more than 350,000 items that reflect the culture and history of the Alutiq people. Items include photographs, objects, film, audio recordings and much more which al tell a story! They reach beyond written records to reveal the details from all areas of history and daily lives.
They use the exibits to help provide educaton programs, provide information for research and to inspire the world to know more about the remarkable heritage.

There are many permanent and visiting exhibits. The Alutiq story is a permanent exhibit which tells the story from the distant past to the present day. There are photos, contemporary artworks and more which displays the social life and spirituality of the people.
