Where are we going today?
Butterflies are beautiful creatures, and it's always a thrill when one lands on your hand or nose - so why not visit a place where you can see and experience these colorful winged creatures up close!
All A Flutter Butterfly Farm is open seasonally, and is mainly a field trip facility. However if you're not part of a group, you can visit the family shows, which take place every Saturday at 10am. They also have additional show times throughout the year, so look out for these too!
It's first come first served, and with only 150 people being admitted, you will want to get there early!
All A Flutter Farms are a fun way for kids to learn about nature, and learn all about these amazing creatures. The farm is in the country, so you can enjoy a relaxing day in the quiet sounds of nature. Kids can spend some time playing in the grassy fields, or under the misting pergola - which is popular in summer as you can imagine!
All A Flutter Farms are good old-fashioned fun. You can take a picnic and enjoy it at the picnic tables (if there is space around the birthday parties), and kids can go away knowing lots of fun facts about the butterflies.
The Family Shows are perfect for kids of all ages, and they can experience a fun presentation, which is fast-paced and allows kids to dress up! They will learn all about the body parts of the butterflies, and all about the lifecycle, and even the difference between them and moths.
The best part? Kids can actually see the butterflies up close! There are caterpillars, eggs and chrysalis, all in the one area for them to see. You can even get a sugar pad to hand feed the butterflies with!
So why not enjoy a peaceful, informative and fun day out in the North Carolina nature - the kids will be all a flutter!

All-A-Flutter is one of the top field trip spots in the triad; serving thousands of children each year and teaching them about the beautiful monarch butterfly. Groups of 20 or more are served by appointment during the week, just call or email to set up your private tour..
Why not take a picnic and enjoy it out on the picnic tables? They are available before and after the family show, pending availability of birthday parties.
Any Top Tips?
Do NOT wear bug spray when you visit the farm, butterflies are bugs, and won't come to you if you are wearing bug spray..
Can I get one of those?
The farm gift shop is where you can pick up everything butterfly! They also sell Caterpillar Castle Lifecycle Kits that allows you to take home a milkweed plant, with monarch eggs laid on it and watch the entire lifecycle in your home! Once your butterflies hatch, release them and plant your milkweed in the yard! Amazing!.
Visitors will be allowed onto the farm grounds no earlier than 9am on Saturdays. The show runs for around 60-90 minutes pending the number of attendees..
