Where are we going today?

Located on the historic AuSable River floodwaters above the Alcona Dam, this 1100 acre park has three miles of shoreline on each side of this trophy fish producing river. Surrounded by the Huron National Forest and is a favorite home away from home for many vacationers.

    If only walls could talk. The stories that would be told from the structures at this park would be timeless. They would tell of hot summer days fading into cool starlit nights. Of children laughing and dreaming of days to come. Of men reminiscing by campfire and exchanging stories from days gone by. The bathrooms however would tell an entirely different tale. Three months of summer vacation plus two months of deer season multiplied by hundreds of cabins, campsites, and trailers divided by three toilets equals pandemonium. On second thought maybe it's better that walls can't talk. Because believe me, the four walls surrounding these brave porcelain soldiers would be begging for mercy.
