They let their Bryan facilities run down so they could funnel all their money into their new College Station Longmire facility. The Carter Creek facility was especially bad. Here is a short list of problems I witnessed, which were not just unsightly, but also dangerous. Wood floors popping up and unlevel on the racquetball court – a significant opportunity for someone to trip or hurt their ankle. Paint peeling on the wall, ceiling and floor in various places with water spots from previous damage – some of which went unfixed for months. Lighting was often poor as only half the bulbs seemed to be functioning at any given point, especially in the courts. Free weights were rough from being banged together and were of various different types and brands, as if management had cobbled together a weight collection from Craigslist. Many of them were rusted and/or bent. Collars weren’t available or not working properly, another safety issue.Machines were rusted in spots and in various states of disrepair. There was always at least one cardio machine out of service at any given time. The pool’s paint and stucco was peeling and often floating in the water. The chloramines in the pool were often too high – due to poor regulation of free chlorine. As far as the owners comment of having over 10,000 members, that’s not difficult if you are one of the only games in town. And, as far as the claimed “easy resolution” to billing issues, I also had trouble with billing. I was the second person on the contract – not the primary (and it was a business account), yet they aggressively pursued me for non-payment when the company I worked for stopped paying. Even though I asked whom would be responsible and was told only the primary person on the contract, who provided their social, my information was also sent to collections. I had to spend an hour on the phone with bill-collection and send several emails before it was resolved. As they had sent it to collections, and notifications were not at my address, it was not possible to “deal with the owner directly” as was stated in an earlier rebuttal. Now that there is more competition, and most of it’s cheaper, don’t settle for less with Aerofit. Or, enjoy their new lavish facility in College Station, that’s where all your money has went and is going. If you’re looking for a gym that’s clean and well maintained and in Bryan, look elsewhere.

Definitely a gym for the committed. I joined because I hoped the motivation of paying too much for a membership and being locked in to a 2-year contract would force me to go so I wouldn’t waste my money. Well, it kinda works. Anyway, they definitely like money. -They charged a fee because they were upgrading their equipment (that’s what my membership is supposed to pay for); -They charged $10 for a new barcode key-ring card;-They charged $25 because my bank card expired and I got a new one and forgot to notify them. As the owner said in response to another review, there’s a reason they’ve been voted best in the Brazos, and it’s NOT price. As for customer service, I honestly haven’t had enough interaction with them to say, but the staff is friendly when I come and go. Aerofit earns an “it’s OK” in my book.

I started going to Aerofit when I was in High School and even though I am in College and have access to the REC center I still prefer to workout out at Aerofit on Carter Creek. Unlike the REC there are plenty of machines and the staff is always ready to help you in any way possible. I would recommend working out at Aerofit to Blinn and TAMU students as well as anyone looking for a family friendly gym.

I enjoy the clean facilties and the new equipment! The staff are also friendly. We normally enjoy using the 24 hour Express location on Wellborn, but the kids like the Carter Creek swimming pool. My husband enjoys the racquetball.

I’ve been coming to Aerofit on Carter Creek for twelve years and would recommend it to anyone looking for a Health and Fitness center. Carter Creek has the best Group Exercise classes that are never over crowded. Also anyone looking for great tennis courts should come check out the facility.
