Where are we going today?
Kids - are you over 7 years and want to challenge yourselves up in the tree tops? You know you do!
We don't mean climbing trees...we mean enjoying Adventure Park at Long Island where you can get up in the canopy to take on the rope bridges and zip lines to get you to the end of the course.
Adventure Park at Long Island is 7 acres of aerial forest fun, where your whole family can have adventure in the trees!
When you arrive, just look up! There, you will see a series of platforms all through the trees, and all connected by cable, rope, and wood bridges, as well as zip lines. This is what you have to navigate to get across and complete the course!
Don't worry - you don't have to be Tarzan to make it across. Each of the trails are color-coded to their degree of difficulty, so you can be sure to start on the one that is more suited to you. They have beginner (an easy course and low to the ground), right through to advanced (you guessed it...the most challenging!)
The team at Adventure Park will brief you with everything you need to know about the safety before you start, so you know you will be in good hands, and confident with what you are about to take on.
You will always be "locked-on" with their double connected climbing system - so look down as much as you like - you will be safe!
The great thing about these courses is they build kids confidence, as well as develop their skills, balance, and problem solving skills. Plus, they always feel great when they complete one level and move up to the next! Plus, you can enjoy it as a family. How great is that!
Get those climbing skills ready, because Adventure Park at Long Island is waiting for YOU!
How much does it cost?
- Adults$54 (over 12 years)
- Children$39 - $47
When can we go?
Times vary on the season so check before you go
April to November
It's great for students to attend for team building and confidence building. Groups over 10 get a discount, but spaces fill up quickly so call ahead!.
There is a small Adventure Store where you can get hot and cold drinks, as well as snacks. .
Feel free to bring your own food and drink! Water is always good, as are snacks that will keep that energy up.
Any Top Tips?
Make sure you wear fitted clothes where nothing can get caught in the cables and ropes. Don't forget to tie your hair back either!.
Doing our bit
They are tree friendly! They have created the course with the least impact on the environment as possible. Which means both you and the trees can have fun! .
Need a little extra help?
You do need to be in good health to try out the trails. .
Can I get one of those?
The Adventure Store sells souvenirs where you can pick up something fun to remind you of your day!.
The park stills operates in the rain, but really heavy weather like storms they may close until they pass. .

My fiance and i love this place. Been going since it opened, great staff, great atmosphere, well kept gear and stations.
The only thing that is exasperating is you have to start at a beginning course every visit, which can be overcrowded with the younger, less experienced climbers. Understandable if there are new safety regulations added, but itd be cool if there was a way to prove you've been there before.

I've been to the Ropes Park at Bridgeport, and this one is even better. They have four different levels of difficulty, and they can get pretty challenging! I had an awesome afternoon there, the staff was super friendly and helpful. The zip lines are an amazing rush. Its a great family bonding experience when you finish a ropes course together.

My daughter Melissa and I had a GREAT time! It was exciting, challenging, exhilarating, a little frightening(just a little, in a good way), and a workout; all at the same time! We will definitely be going back!
3-1/2 hours spent with Melissa, outdoors, doing something fun together, with NO CELL PHONES!!!! Worth every penny.
Met one of the owners while we were there, and she was extremely pleasant.
Best of luck to Adventure Park at Long Island!
