Where are we going today?

The swamps of Louisiana are famous for being incredible to explore, so why not explore them on your next family day out!

Acadian Swamp Tours offer fun and fascinating 90 minute tours through the swamps and bayous where you can experience an ecosystem that dates backs thousands and thousands of years!

The trip will take you through the waterways and canals of the Atchafalaya Spillway and Bay Natchez. Make sure you keep your eyes open the whole time, because there is a host of wildlife that you could be spotting!

You might spot those cute little turtles, or if you see something lurking under the water, yes kids, it could be alligators! Eek!

If you are REALLY keen eyed, you might just spot the national bird - the bald eagle!

There is also a host of flora that you can experience with Acadian Swamp Tours, including the cypress swamps and water hyacinth - iconic features of these areas!

The tours are a fun way to see more of Louisiana with the kids, and they are leisurely trips so even the younger kids can enjoy it.  An incredible way to explore nature!

The owner, Rodney, has been giving families fun days out since 1999, and he is welcoming to all who want to experience his favorite part of the USA! He knows the area inside out, so kids, make sure you think up the BEST questions possible to ask him!

Hurry - the swamps are waiting!

My sister and I wanted one fabulous place to stay on our road trip and this was it. The house and yard were gorgeous. I felt so welcome and at peace. I hope that I can make it back some day.
