Where are we going today?

The 1000 Springs Resort has something very special about it. It may look like an ordinary swimming pool, but in fact it's not! The waters of 1000 Springs Resort are actually geothermically warmed! Yep - Mother Nature is your heater here!

1000 Springs Resort has a swimming pool, as well as private baths and a wading pool for those younger kids which is 2ft deep. There are even high and low diving boards if you want to practice those flips and dives into the water! Did we mention there is a fun waterslide too?

The waters, because they are natural waters, are rich in minerals which are often used for therapeutic purposes - so you know as you are swimming, the water is actually doing you some good!

This is the kind of pool that is a novelty for kids to experience, because it's so different from the swimming pools they might be used to. It's also the kind of place you want to just relax, and take in the healing waters of the area!

Parents, if you want to be a bit sneaky, there are actually 15 Jacuzzi's that you can sneak off to enjoy if you find someone to supervize your kids for 10 minutes! Amazing!

The pool is part of accommodations, but you can pick up a day pass to enjoy the thermal waters without booking overnight.

So grab those bathers and try out this pool with a difference - and let Mother Nature give you a fun water experience on your next family day out!

Overall, this is a nice place to stay and we found the hostess to be pleasant and helpful. That being said, there are a few things that, while I do not think they affect the rating, I wish I would have known ahead of time:
    1. This camp ground is in the middle of feedlot territory. You can't see it from the campground, but you can smell it all the time. If you are used to that, it's probably fine, but we are from the city, on a road trip through town, so it was a shock.
    2. This is a "water sports" camp ground destination, which changes the flavor...Read More

We spent the night here in our RV. The park is beautiful and would love to go back and spend a few more days to explore the surrounding area.

I really like this place. I've gone here since I was a kid and it's about the same now as it was then. That's both good and bad. I really like how big the place is, this place is really big! There is a regular dive, high dive and a slide. All of these things are pretty fun and adults can go down the slide :) I like that there is a random log thing on one side of the pool. It's both frustrating and fun to try and get on it. There is a kiddy pool that's separated from the rest but is able to be seen from anywhere. This is nice because if you've got...Read More

I don't know who these people are that are ripping this place to shreds? But my husband took me here with friends and family 7 years ago when we first started dating, and we have returned 1 to 2 times a year every year since!!!!
We LOVE the manager!!! She has been very kind to our family every time we go!!!
And if you are expecting super clean facilities and you want everything perfect, go stay in a hotel!!! If you have an RV, yeah, the sites are gravel. If you tent it, you get grass. We always tent it right by the river where our boats are docked...Read More

2. This is a "water sports" camp ground destination, which changes the flavor of things a bit. Again, that's a big plus for many looking for a campground like that (and if you are looking for a water sports campground, this is a good place: piers to your boat right from your own site). However, if you're looking for a peaceful camping spot, this is probably not the best place to set up a tent.

It's both frustrating and fun to try and get on it. There is a kiddy pool that's separated from the rest but is able to be seen from anywhere. This is nice because if you've got kids at multiple ages you can see them no matter where they are. I like that they have slush puppies (shaved ice drink). It's one of the few places I know of that still has one. I love the slush puppy. The only bad thing is the changing rooms. They smell horrible and look gross. I'm scared I'll pick up a desease if I change in there so I make sure to change before I come to the 'resort'. Other than that it's a great place to go.

Good: huge pool, kiddy pool, high dive, log, hot tubs, slush puppies, park area outside and river/RV access
Bad: dressing room is nasty, it's hours are weird for the pool, closed some days :(

And if you are expecting super clean facilities and you want everything perfect, go stay in a hotel!!! If you have an RV, yeah, the sites are gravel. If you tent it, you get grass. We always tent it right by the river where our boats are docked right at our camp site. The view is AMAZING!!! The water is always wonderful!!! There is a place we boat to by the camp site called Blue Heart, everyone loves it! Yeah, the showers stink and the water changes temp all the time. IT'S CAMPING!!! And if you want to use a regular bathroom, walk to them. Or use the port a potty, yes, they get full sometimes! But again, IT'S CAMPING!!! We plan trips to this place every year, and always will. The pool is not that expensive, and I like that they have ice you can buy from them and fire wood. Better than driving to town. And we take the little ones to the playground every year, and they have a blast!! We will actually be leaving Thrusday this week to go down there for 3 days. Can't wait! We look forward to it every year!!! Barb is the best!!!!! *Big hugs from the Bennion clan* :-)
