Where are we going today?

It's SO much fun to explore the great outdoors, and when you're in a place like the Canadian Rockies - it seems a shame not to be out there every day!

For active kids who love a bit of advenure, as well as nature, then why not spend the day with Yamnuska for some rock climbing adventures?

Yamnuska Mountain Adventures actually offer a host of activities, from mountaineering, to skiing, and even ice climbing, but it's the rock climbing that is most suitable for kids as young as 5 years, and a great introduction to them exploring the great Canadian wilderness.

There are a number of rock climbing courses that you can do with Yamnuska Mountain Adventures, and it's the Beginner Experiential Rock Climbing that is a fun day for the youngest of kids. It's fun, and relaxed, and actually designed for beginners who have never climbed before. Kids can learn the basic safety skills needed, as well as top rope techniques. They will be in good hands too with expert climbers there to coach them!

You can try out a full day or a half day, and perfect for families! Kids will improve their coordination, strength, and confidence!

If you have older kids in the family who want to really push themselves, then you can check out the various "Level" classes depending on their experience, or even a climbing tour.

If you do want to try and push yourself, and have older kids in the family, check out the other activivties that Yamnuska Mountain Adventures offer too - it's a big, big world out there!

Came here to rent some gear (waterproof shoes & socks, the pole came with the package) to trek the Narrows.

All this gear really helped me with trekking the Narrows. The shoes helped protect my feet & ankle from cold & injury.

The socks helped keep my feet warm from the freezing cold water that we had to wade through the narrows.

They also make you watch a video at the beginning, its a bit boring but I found that there were some good tips int hat video. =)

Our recent adventure to SW Utah found my son and me at Zion National Park. We didn't know what we wanted to do, nor what there really was to do. Many people told us to check out Zion National Park. We happenstance upon Zion Adventure Company and were extremely glad we did! Even though we didn't book any tours with them or rent any equipment, the lady we talked to was super informative and spent quite a bit of time with us helping us find the adventure best suited for my son and me. I would definitely go back when we had more time and invest in some...Read More

Zion Adventure Co. is located just about half a mile from Zion's Visitor Center.
It is an excellent place for gear rental if you plan on doing some canyoneering.

We come here for wet suits, water shoes, neoprene socks, sticks, and whatever else needed for the trail. Be sure to try everything on before renting.

The guys here are knowledgeable and really friendly.

Neoprene gloves for $20!!! Now thats a steal! Great for canyoneering in cold waters. And thick enough for walking down rocky sliding canyons if you're new and not great at it. It saved my butt on pinecreek and mystery canyoneering.

However rentals are a bit pricey here so didn't get it here.

All this gear really helped me with trekking the Narrows. The shoes helped protect my feet & ankle from cold & injury.

Tip: Get 1/2 to 1 size bigger than your regular shoe size because your feet will swell up at the end of the day due to all the seating you will do & the socks are very tight & all that walking that you'll be doing will make it even tighter.

So if you get cold / bruise easily, I recommend you go get the gear to trek the Narrows.

Service was good but if you have a big group, be sure to call ahead because they can get packed at certain times of the year.

The location of this rental place was nice because it was so close to the entrance to the park & campgrounds. =)
