If you want a true family campground, then why not explore Westwood Lake Campgrounds in Nanaimo?

Located next to Westwood Lake Park, there are plenty of fun activities for the family to enjoy, as well as the fun of camping itself!

When you stay at Westwood Lake Campgrounds, your days can be spent splashing around in the safe swimming beaches - perfect for those summer days! There are also miles of well-maintained trails, which are great if you fancy putting your walking or hiking shoes on.

A great way to be with nature!

Westwood Lake is also well stocked, so if you fancy trying to nab yourself some trout, grab those rods and sit back and relax, and test out those skills!

The campground itself is perfect for all sorts of camping. If you want to go back to the classic camping experience and enjoy some time in your own tent, you can! They also have great RV sites, as well as cabins if you want to make your stay a little more like home.

You can choose from group sites or private sites, as well as sites nestled within native trees, or around groomed lawns.

Don't miss the cozy camp fire at night! 

Westwood Lake Campgrounds also have those conveniences that you need out of a comfortable camping experience, including laundry facilities and showers, as well as a rec centre. 

So why not explore Nanaimo a little more, or even venture out for the day to Vancouver Island! It's all there waiting to be explored!

    kinda turning into a ghetto. it used to be like coral cables with big oak trees covering the streets. but the old owners of the MH-park removed them all & put in palm trees that give no shade at all. also they have removed all the BBQ grills & benches. plus some of the parks have been removed in favor of parking. there are also alot of illegal construction being done by the MH-owners there because the new MH-park owners just dont care about what goes on there anymore. another bad thing is that theres alot of illegal efficiencies being rented out....Read More

    I've been around here living on and off since the age of 10, I'm now 28 and been married since 2009 with no troubles other than that one time when some little punks who didn't live here broke into cars. It has been getting trashy looking through the years but it's a safe zone, great for children.

kinda turning into a ghetto. it used to be like coral cables with big oak trees covering the streets. but the old owners of the MH-park removed them all & put in palm trees that give no shade at all. also they have removed all the BBQ grills & benches. plus some of the parks have been removed in favor of parking. there are also alot of illegal construction being done by the MH-owners there because the new MH-park owners just dont care about what goes on there anymore. another bad thing is that theres alot of illegal efficiencies being rented out. so that sometimes brings sketchy people into once safe areas. but the worse of all is that theres a bad gang problem. so much so, that local police have made a unit just to control the gangs & drug dealers in there. this mobile home park was once a great place to live. but over the last decade or two, it has been going down hill. its sad to see another mobile home park turn into trailer trash park. I only hope the city steps in before it hits rock bottom.
