Just got back from a visit where we helped volunteer at our kids school and the kids had fun but the entire place was freezing indoors as they had the heaters off but it was a very cold day today.

Biggest problem was the staff was pretty rude in the cafe/eatery. Went to order a soup and was told there was only one bowl left and it was promised to some woman at the end of the line so was left without soup (sad face) but no big deal as we left shortly after.

Really enjoyed it. Cheap and nice scenery. Only problem is that it was very windy and they were grinding some corn and it flew everywhere. The antique barns were cool and the animals were friendly.

If Saunders Farm was a ten Valleyview would be a five. Momac Grain Mill next door was grinding all day without a single break. Felt like visiting a noisy factory, not a bucolic farm. Wouldn't recommend it, but give it ten years and maybe it will improve.

Dirty, run-down and overpriced with unfriendly (rude actually) service. Save your money and visit some of Ottawa's many family-friendly sites instead.

What can I say, at $6/ea for a group rate and still felt we didn't get our money's worth I guess check it out if you want to see some goats but would recommend going in summer if you have absolutely nothing to do.
