By far the greatest museum my partner and I visited in Winnipeg. There is so much to see, we ended up spending close to 5 hours walking through the different areas of the museum. We highly recommend that you take time to see one of the shows in the Planetarium. It's a beautiful experience to see the stars all around you and you feel as though you're flying through space! But our favorite section had to be in the actual museum section, particularly the Nonsuch Gallery. The ship was beautiful and the setting around it was a step back in time. If you...Read More

The only one place worth to see in Winnipeg! You may spend hours and hours by walking around, seeing so many interesting things from the history and presence also. My kids love it.

If you have a moment, we recommend that you head upstairs while in the section and visit the rigging shop. There we found a man playing out the role of an individual during the time of ships. He went into great detail about the ropes and what they are called and what they do. He passed some around, and even was so kind to go to the window and point out where they were located on the ship! He was extremely helpful and informative, and had so much passion for what he was talking about. He truly made the experience there, much more worth the time we spent in the museum! Please visit and stop to see this man, he's very much worth your time.
