Where are we going today?

The Canadian Canoe Museum is North Americas largest canoe museum, with a collection of nearly 600 canoes and kayaks and 1,000 related artifacts. Our exhibits explore how the canoe defines the Canadian character and spirit. Experience a dramatic waterfall upon entering or hear creation stories inside a traditional Mi'kmaq wigwam. Feel what it was like living as a voyageur during the Fur Trade era, and enjoy the cottaging lifestyles of the early 20th century.

A great little outting. We learned a lot. It's very well designed and presented. I don't think it gets the recognition it deserves.

Doesn't look like much from the outside, but inside it is amazing. They provided a scavenger hunt for my 9 year old son that kept him busy while I casually browsed the collections.

This place has an excellent and AFFORDABLE Summer Camp for Kids! My daughter loved it and she had no real canoe interest, but she does now. It's also a great Museum and has so much more than canoes...including a Native TeePee you can sit and play in with a Peace Pipe too!
