Where are we going today?

Scenic Caves Nature Adventures is ALL about giving active and adventurous families a great opportunity to get out into the great outdoors, explore, be challenged, and just have fun!

There are SO many things for the family at Scenic Caves Nature Adventure, so really the biggest decision is what to do first!

Why don't you start by taking a self-guided hike through a rugged trail of caves, caverns and crevasses carved out of the Ice Age millions of years ago.

In the 1600s, the First Nation's Patun tribe lived in the region, protected by this natural fortress. History, geology AND adventure for the kids!

There is the Suspension Bridge, where you can journey 420ft across the valley. It's also the LONGEST suspension footbridge in Southern Ontario, which is pretty impressive! On a clear day you can see 10,000 sq km of south Georgian Bay - amazing!

Thunderbird Twin Zip Line is for those adrenaline junkies in the family, where you can enjoy the two zip lines fun side by side, each controlling your own speed. At 2550ft long, it's Canada's LONGEST twin zip line, and with a vertical drop of 287 ft, it's certainly not for the faint hearted!

For those younger adventurers, Scenic Caves Nature Adventures has many family-friendly activities too. They can try their luck at finding their fortune at the Gemstone Mining Tower, where they use a panning tray to discover those gems, and the hole in one is waiting at mini golf! Perched on a mountain, it's an amazing setting for this family activity!

With train rides on Rocky, and Children's Adventure Playground, as well as a beautiful fish pond where you can feed the fish, nature trails and a country wagon ride, there really is SO much adventure waiting to be had with Scenic Caves Nature Adventure!

If your family is visiting during the winter months, snap on cross country skis and glide along 27km of groomed trails at the highest point of the Niagara Escarpment. Or strap on snowshoes and explore 10km of paths, one of which crosses the Suspension Bridge!

So what are you waiting for!

First, the entrance fee is outrageous. You can find more scenic places in the vicinity where you don't have to pay any fee. The attitude of the people you bump into would be much better as well. But here is my experience last time I visited. That day, the closed the facility due to thunderstorm warning after we entered. We were told neither the suspension bridge nor the trail is safe. The management refused to reimburse the entrance fee saying it is not their fault. At the we had to leave. I won't recommend this place to anyone really.

The thunderbird twin ziplines are fun. The trails and caves (only 2 of them there I think) are kid-friendly - "fatman's misery" is a squeeze. Staff are friendly. The suspension bridge, while can't be considered a main attraction, is a nice touch.

Too bad the tree-top walking was only a part of a more expensive package. The place was a ghost-town at 6pm. We had to climb over to locked gates to get out at 6:15pm.

OUTRAGEOUSLY EXPENSIVE AND DOWNRIGHT BORING AND NOT WORTH THE MONEY! The park barely had any caves and nothing to do or you had to pay even more to have fun. Do not go here you will regret it. we payed almost $200 for just 5 people, and there was only about 2 caves. Zip-lining was extra money. The bridge was nice but not for that amount of money. Take my word for it, we were not the only unhappy campers. Save your money.

Thank you Amy and Ian, our fun and friendly "Eco Tour Guides", for a great afternoon! We had an awesome time even though the weather was rather rainy. We managed to complete the tour with laughter and great pics and memories. Will have to return on a sunny day. Great place for teenagers through adults. Not really appropriate for younger children. A great place to spend a few hours enjoying beautiful sights and adventure!!
    Thanks!
