Oaklawn Farm Zoo Aylesford
Where are we going today?
ROAR! That must be the sound of the lions at Oaklawn Fawn Zoo saying hello to you! In fact, there are so many creatures from all across the planet waiting to say hello - so why not visit!
There are 50 acres to explore, with creatures ranging from the exotic, domestic, and native. There are mammals, reptiles, and of course birds too! So many species for the kids to learn about as they see them face to face.
Amazing animal encounters that gives you the great mix of a traditional family farm setting with exotic species.
Did you know that Oaklawn Farm Zoo is Nova Scotia's LARGEST zoo? Pretty impressive isn't it!
Kids will find chickens, horses, mokeys, pythons, lions, and other favorites. There might even be some species that you have never heard of before!
Don't miss the kiddie farm either at the zoo, where a small additional fee gets you some actual hands on experiences where you can feed the animals too!
The viewing platforms and fencing are designed to get visitors as up close and personal with the animals as possible, so you might want to take your camera!
So - the biggest question now is, which creatures will you go and visit first!

It was really hot so most of the animals were hiding in the shade, but the ones we were able to see were well worth the trip

Great zoo! They've got a nice collection of exotic animals that you can get close enough to get a good look at, and safer animals that you can get close enough to touch. Well laid out, friendly staff... definitely worth a visit!

Best bang for your entertainment buck in the entire province. I take my family there at lest once a year. Bring lots of quarters so the kids can buy food for the goats and llamas.
