My family and I just spent 5 amazing days with ROW Adventure and it was the best vacation we have ever had......and we go on a LOT of vacations! Normally we are a Caribbean resort family but this time we opted for an adventure vacation and after spending countless hours researching options for a rafting/camping trip we decided to go with the Snake River trip with ROW. Our trip was from August 25th until August 29th 2014.

My first phone call to ROW was answered by Candy and I never needed to speak with anyone else. Candy is knowledgable, personable,...Read More

"Family Magic" departures are indeed magic.

Recently got back from a Salmon River Canyons "Family Magic" trip with my 6 year old daughter, and my sister. Truly, the people at ROW have this trip down.

First, you can't even sign up for "Family Magic" trip unless you are bringing a kid or two (or more!) This means, fellow parents, that you don't have to stress about your darling child being a distraction or too loud or too... childish. Everyone there has a kid!
The ROW team is spectacular with the kiddos. All of them. Yes, they have one guide designated...Read More

The Rogue River 4-day lodge-to-lodge trip was one of the best vacations I have taken. The wildlife, especially the first day, was incredible: bears, river otters, turtles, a bald eagle, minks, and more. The rapids were fun, and Mike D, Angie, and Mikey were such professional rafting guides that I talked myself into going over the Class 4's! They worked 14-hour days to keep the fifteen of us fed, happy, safe, and well looked after. The three lodges were a wonderful way to end the day; the only way to go! I shall not only go back next summer to the...Read More

Enjoyed a 4 day Rogue Rafting trip with my parents (in their 70s) and my 5 year old daughter. The trip was extraordinary! The guides were highly skilled, professional, friendly and simply phenomenal. I wasn't sure how it was going to be for my 5 year old, but she absolutely adored the trip, loved the river, the rapids, the nature and the adventure, and I felt very safe that we were in great hands. I can't wait to do another trip with ROW! I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Me and my wife booked the Snake River trip with ROW. We were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary; my wife had always wanted to go on a white water trip. The trip was everything you could have hoped for. The river was amazing the guides were awesome, and the food was out of this world. I have paid good money for other vacations but this was by far the most value for the money. Cruises are just average, all-inclusives are ok, but this was a whole different brand of vacation. I was really surprised and we had a great time, the most fun for the...Read More

Candy is knowledgable, personable, and can speak from experience which was very important to me. I had never been rafting and only slept in to tent for a one night before booking this trip and she put me at ease and after booking it a few months in advance spent the summer counting the days until we left.

We flew into Boise from New York a day earlier than we needed to meet our rafting group and we really enjoyed Boise. Very clean city, lots of local restaurants and shops and we even went to the Idaho state fair which was an added bonus. The next afternoon we went to the airport and started our trip.

Our transportation bus rolled up right on time and our driver Charley from Harlows Transportation took our bags, we met the other people on the trip and off we went. Our group was a total of nine people including myself, my wife, Amy and my son John. We enjoyed meeting and chatting with the other people in our group and instantly felt comfortable. It was a 2 hour drive to the Frontier motel in Cambridge Id and we checked in quickly and met one of our guides Britt a little while after. Britt gave us a quick briefing on the trip and let us know to be ready early the next morning. One thing to note, the meeting time was 7:30 pm and it wasn't apart of a dinner. Thankfully Mrs G's was a short walk down the road and we ate there as a group. Also if you need any last minute items, there is a convenience store 100 yards from the hotel. Beer, wine, chips......

If you are reading this and thinking about taking this trip I would highly recommend it. We are a family of 3 who lived in Manhattan for a number of years and now live in the burbs of NYC. We had never done anything like this before and absolutely loved every minute. My son John recently turned 8 and to be able to spend 5 days with he and my wife with no connection to the outside world was really special. No iPads, no electronics, no cell service, just us, the river, and the mountains.
I honestly can't say enough good things about our guides. Britt, Mark, and Jonathan. They work REALLY hard to make sure that our trip was perfect. They are up before everyone, in bed after everyone and rowing, cooking, preparing meals, setting up camp, carrying supplies back and forth at every stop, setting up and tearing down the portable bathroom, and entertaining us in between. Guys I can't thank you enough and when I do another rafting trip...not if but when, I will request that you are the guides. Great job! Thanks for looking after us and caring about us. Johnny really enjoyed all of you as did Amy and I.

In closing all I can say is get off the couch and book this trip with ROW. As I said earlier we are normally a high end Caribbean resort vacation family....those are great as well, but if you want a life lasting memory take the Snake River Hells Canyon 5 day trip.

The ROW team is spectacular with the kiddos. All of them. Yes, they have one guide designated as a "river jester" who is charged with keeping the kids entertained in camp. But every single one of the guides was kid-friendly, full of energy, and happy to interact with kids all day.
Did I mention they serve TWO DINNERS?!? One at 5ish for the Littles, then a grownup meal at 7ish. Genius. Clearly, the people who designed this trip understand families, and they understand hospitality.
And, they are no slouches with river, either.
Fantastic days - just the right mix of white water and mellow float time. Great campsites. Unbelievably delicious food (prime rib! cake! cous-cous and chicken tagine!)
Sleeping under the starts in spectacular natural beauty, and being unplugged for 5 days and 4 nights with my kid, who I had to practically drag out of the river each day?
Priceless.

Me and my wife will be doing this again. You can keep the foreign countries and money hungry droves. I am staying in the USA and having a great adventure.
