Musee National des Beaux Arts du Quebec is located in Battlefields Park, also known as the Plains of Abraham. This city park is one of the world’s loveliest, with its 108 hectares of grassy expanses, woodlands and gardens. An oasis of greenery in the city centre, it delights thousands of citizens and visitors every day. Behind the Musée is a superb view of the park and the St. Lawrence River.
The museum has lots of dedicated activities for children to participate in when visiting the museum! There are guided tours, story times with featured authors, creative workshops and lots of holiday programs to get involved with too. The museum offers various tours too which will provide in-depth knowledge about the museum. You can head out on a fixed time, in a group, explore at your own pace and tours for people who are dead and diasabled too. Which makes it really inclusive!
They have a cinema too, with lots of feature films that are indepedent and provide an educational experience. You'll also fine music performance of all kinds and they often collaborate with major muisic festivals in the region, making the museum vibrant! In the school holidays there are creative workshops, which are all guaranteed to keep the kids occupied whilst they're off school!
The main entrance door to the Museum is the Pierre Lassonde Pavilion, located at 179 Grande Allée Ouest, which gives direct access to the box office where you can get your bracelet. The entrance to the central pavilion is also open to the public for easy travel.
