Mountain View Conservation and Breeding Centre
Where are we going today?

Mountain View Conservation is a B.C. non-profit society, whose mission is to save B.C. and Canadian wildlife from extinction by operating ‘breed and return‘ conservation programs for rare & endangered “Red-Listed” wildlife species, and to offer public awareness & educational programs. Our conservation and breeding programs work towards the eventual release of wildlife offspring back into their natural habitats here in B.C., and elsewhere in Canada and North America, in order to create and maintain sustainable populations of these exceptionally rare species.

We operate these ‘breeding and return’ programs in natural settings and enclosures at our facility in Langley, B.C. working in concert with wildlife recovery projects of Canada’s Ministry of the Environment, the B.C. Government’s Ministry of Natural Resources, the Environment, and Fish and Wildlife.

An important part of our mission is to foster public education and awareness about the need to protect and conserve our wildlife and natural wildlife habitat in B.C., Canada, and around the world.

We offer pre-booked guests educational guided tours of the Mountain View Conservatory and its facilities.  Additionally, we  offer school and colleges, teachers, students, and other community groups a new Education Outreach program called “Our Connections to Nature”. This program includes an introduction to conservation, further classroom instruction/presentations & teacher support in 5 lessons,  and concludes with an optional 2-hour Field Trip experience that includes a tram tour through our Conservatory.

Our Conservatory now comprises over 300 acres just outside Fort Langley, in British Columbia’s beautiful Fraser Valley. This map will assist you on your drive to our Conservatory. Please note: We are not open to the general public, to visit you must book a reservation in advance. Guided Tours generally take about two hours.

Visitors young and old can enjoy our Conservation presentations & guided tours of Mountain View by reserving in advance online or by phone. Our Guided Tours are offered Monday through Friday at 10:00 am or 1:00 pm - rain or shine. Saturdays we have a tour at 10:00 am and on Sundays at 1:00 pm. Groups of ten or more are offered a discount.  (Tours not  available in Winter months) Call us at 604-882-9313 to reserve a tour between April 1st and October 31st Thank you for supporting Wildlife Conservation.
