Where are we going today?
Insects are often misunderstood creatures, but they are beautiful, wonderful, weird, colorful, and fascinating - so why not learn all about them at the Montreal Insectarium!
The Montreal Insectarium is where there are some of the world's most beautiful insects just waiting to be admired. Families can go and learn all about these amazing species, and why they are so important to the world!
Why don't we start with the spiders, because these are often what people are most fearful of - but don't be!
Did you know that spiders are masters of seduction, as well as fearsome hunters? They can adapt incredibly well, and they are an important part of the ecosystem.
The Montreal Insectarium also have ants, butterflies, stick insects, flies, and even scorpions to explore!
Do you know what an arthropod is? Well, we know the best place to find out! There is just a wealth of knowledge waiting to be learnt.
The Insectarium have permanent exhibits that you can always go back and see, including We Are The Insects that teach you all about how they live, and Atta Ants, where you can see before your eyes how ants maintain their nests and defend their colony!
They also have amazing collections of insects, as well as travelling exhibits
There is so much waiting at the Montreal Insectarium, so why are we waiting - it's a Bugs Life, and so let's go and join them!

When can we go?
Times vary on the day so check the sessions before you go!
There is a restaurant in the Botanical Garden here you can enjoy great food on the outdoor patio, with seasonal and organic produce!.
The restaurant has healthy food, and there are picnic areas on the grounds if you want to bring your own.
Any Top Tips?
Keep an eye out for special events, especially seasonal like Halloween as there are always great experiences!.

They are all about showing the world that insects are great for the environment, and why it's important to embrace them, so we can keep the ecosystem in balance.
Need a little extra help?
The Insectarium is accessible and there is a wheelchair for loan!.
Strollers are available, and there are changing tables in the bathrooms of reception and the Insectarium. A breastfeeding room is also available .
Can I get one of those?
In the area the Botanical Garden has a gift shop with is filled with books, accessories, plants and jewellery - and then some!.

On a passé l'après midi et ce n'était pas assez car moi et mon épouse aimons lire les affiches et les descriptions. Par chance nous avons la passe annuelle

70$ pour la visite est très dispendieux. Visiter prends environ 1h. Manque d'animation bien que le personnel est courtois et réponds très bien aux questions. Intéressant mais vraiment trop cher
