Inaugurated in 2008, the Le Musee Huron Wendat is an institution created to conserve and promote the heritage of the Wenadat people. With a permanent exhibit Territories, memories, knowledge, an ongoing program of temporary exhibits, and numerous activities and themed workshops, the Museum carries out its mandate to teach and popularize the history, culture and art of the Wendat people and of other First Nations. For visitors, the Museum is also a gateway, leading to Wendake's numerous heritage sites such as Notre-Dame-de-Lorette Church, the Kabir Kouba waterfall and Tsawenhohi House.
The Discovery packages offera guided tour of the museum, exhibitions and cultural sites. It tlasts two hours and you'll get to visit all of the temporary exhibitions, church, longhouse and more as well as understadning all of the historically important characters.
They also run a variety of workshops too. Including craft workshops everyday where you make pottery, rugs, dolls and so much whilst practising your art skills! They also have a brand-new escape game too, which is a journey of over 2 hours that highlight the 5 unique places on the site. Find ancient artefacts and place them in the right places whilst solving puzzles along the way!
