Where are we going today?

History comes to life at the Heritage Park Fort McMurray, where kids can explore 17 historic buildings which bring the stories and history of Fort McMurray to life!

Some of the buildings are over 100 years old, so it really does take you back through the history books! The whole family can walk through history, and hear all of the stories of those who were at Fort McMurray all those years ago.

It's a fascinating way to see what life used to be like in the area. Kids, we bet it's very different to how you live today!

You can explore the Royal Bank, which was an essential part of the community. You can explore the 1916 Presbyterian Church, where everything inside was hand crafted,  There is a Trading Post, and a Trappers Cabin, and even a Carpentry Shop!

Within the Heritage Park, you can also explore the Heritage Shipyard, where kids can get up close to historical vessels, train cars, and artifacts!

Kids can learn all about how Fort McMurray was a transportation hub, taking goods as far north as the Arctic, and it's where they can actually see these amazing artifacts up close!

History really does come to life at Heritage Park, and there is no better way to learn about history, than to live it!
