About this activity

Frontenac County Schools Museum collects, preserves and displays artifacts and materials from the elementary grades 108 of Frontenac County, all the way back from 1970. They welcome school trips, groups tours, families and individuals for an educational day out!

Younger visitors will be lef through a short school lesson and a guided tour of the gallery. You can opt to have a guide with you if you prefer! There are lots of hands-on elements where visitors can interact with props and have a go at some historic activities. The gallery features permanent displays, and new displays that rotate regularly, so there'll be something new each time you visit!

The school lesson lasts for ten to fifteen minutes, and you'll be able to take home a craft related to the season or to one of the exhibitis. You'll even get to try using a pen and ink!

There are lots of year round activities, including heritage interprtation, identifying artifacts enjoying the books from the early times and participate in research, as well as special events throughout the year. Make sure to keep an eye on the website for eveything that is up and coming.
