About this activity

The Fredericton Region Museum is a gateway into the exciting history and diverse heritage of central New Brunswick. Because central New Brunswick is where the provincial capital is located, and it served as a meeting place for Aboriginals, Loyalists, Acadian, and other European settlers, the York Sunbury Museum is an excellent place to start.

With over 4,000 square feet of exhibit space and a collection of over 30,000 artefacts the museum is a fun and exciting way to look into our past. There's lots of exhibitions regularly that changes, along with artist residences, so please keep an eye on the website to ensure you visit at the time your favourite exhibit is showcasing.

They cater for schools and groups, producing an engaging curriculum- based programme, fully customisable if you need it to be! Featuring hands-on learning in workshops, guided tours, or go off on your own to visit too! They offer visits from summer schools, camps and other groups too. Just simply register your interest on their website.

Special event coming up? The second floor features a baclony which has amazing views, especially on a hot summrs day! You're welcome to have this space to host an event with a historical theme or special party.
