Where are we going today?

With its rolling hills, shimmering lakes and boreal forest setting, Duck Mountain Provincial Park seems a lot like northern Saskatchewan. But this scenic park is an island of green in a sea of grain, a southerly piece of boreal uplands surrounded by prairie and located just three hours northeast of Regina. Duck Mountain is a four-season park with accommodations ranging from wilderness camping at Little Boggy Creek Valley to a lodge with modern cabins, townhouses and a licensed restaurant near the main beach at majestic Madge Lake. Visitors may rent the recreation hall or amphitheatre for group gatherings or business meetings.'

The 3d effect of all the trails is so much different, all these pictures and google earth are not what they are when you get there. This site should be updated, what I'm saying is it's outdated maybe from the late 80's to early 90's,is what this is! I've been there all my life and the loggers have clearcutted this mountain to nothing. All trails are not what they seem when you get there, nothing is maintaned. Who does a person have to contact to make this happen, obviously the graphics are wrong, when you look for trails. ...Read More

Nice, but a little neglected. Most hiking trails are "wilderness trails", meaning that they are not maintained, hard to walk, especially with small children. Camping is nice, but very busy and noisy due to through-traffic and motorboats at the lake. The two stores have very limited supplies (e.g. no bread for 5 days). It's a nice place to be if you live nearby or are travelling through, but as I live 400 kilometers away, I prefer other places, like PANP or Cypress Hills instead, if I have to travel that much.
