The objective of Dalnavert Museum, a designated National Historic Site of Canada, is to foster an appreciation and an understanding of the late Victorian era in Winnipeg, through the preservation, exhibition and interpretation of the building and the museum’s collection.
We strive to provide quality programming to our visitors throughout the year, including our annual readings of Dickens' A Christmas Carol, a summer garden program for children, Canada Day celebrations, a Halloween Phantasmagoria exhibit/theatrical performance, Treasure Hunts every weekend in the summer months, and other special events. Dalnavert's beautiful heirloom garden is a delight in the summer months. Please feel free to tour the garden and sit on our veranda after visiting the house! Our Visitors' Centre is a great place to host many of our programs. You may also rent the Visitors' Centre for private functions. Please contact bookings@mhs.mb.ca to arrange a rental.

Dalnavert's gift shop is full of treasures to purchase and take home. From handmade ceramics and jewelry to historic toys and antiques, there is something here for everyone!
We are located just south of Broadway on Carlton St. in downtown Winnipeg. Visitors may use our parking lot for free (space permitting)!
Dalnavert is wheelchair accessible throughout the garden, the Visitors' Centre, and the first floor of the Museum.
