Where are we going today?

Are you ready to get very colorful, very creative, and maybe a little messy? (It's allowed once in a while!) When you visit Clay Cafe in Halifax, you will be doing all of the above - AND having fun!

Clay Cafe is a paint your own pottery studio, where you select over 300 kinds of already made pottery items, and just focus on the painting and the design of them! This means it's especially great for kids because they don't have to worry about actually making the pottery on a wheel with clay. All they have to do is select their piece, choose their colours, and get started!

You don't need any experience - just an imagination and a paint brush!

The friendly staff at Clay Cafe will always be on hand to answer any questions, help inspire you, and show you various techniques of decorating your piece. The pieces to choose from are always changing, so you can keep going back and still find something new and different!

As well as brushes, Clay Cafe offer stencils, stamps, and patter books to help you design your art work. You can select from bowls, plates, teapots, vases, and even mugs - as well as lots of very fun designs for kids!

Once you've finished, the staff will take your piece and fire it in their kilns (a bit pottery oven), and then around a week later it's all yours to pick up and enjoy!

It's that easy! There's no need to book an appointment - just head on over whenever you fancy being creative, and get started!

Are you ready for an Art Attack? We certainly are!

I went there for the first time for ladies night. I normally go to the Mud Room but decided to try Clay Cafe.I walked in and it had this awful smell in there, I have been to pottery places before and they have never smelt like that. I picked out a piece of pottery to paint and when I needed to ask the staff a question they did not seem very knowledgable and were acting very snooty. (We are in Lubbock, Texas what is there to be snooty about) I had fun painting but I will not be going back here. The Mud Room is by far a lot better and has better hospitality....Read More

I had so much fun when I went to Clay Cafe! They had a very large inventory and the prices were very reasonable, especially when compared to the other pottery studios in Lubbock. The staff is very friendly and was very helpful to a first time painter! I will be going back to Clay Cafe for a very long time!
