Champlain Trail Museum and Pioneer Village allows you to take a trip back in time as you stroll through the museum and pioneer village. With one of the largest collections of Ottawa Valley artifacts, the Champlain Trail Museum is truly a must-see.

In the main gallery, discover a replica of Samuel de Champlain’s astrolabe and explore Pembroke at the turn of the century as you wander through a Victorian home and take a peek into an early doctor’s office. Stroll past a recreation of Lemke’s general store and a 1930's barber shop and beauty parlour.

Discover the story of the timber industry in the Upper Ottawa Valley as you view an authentic Cockburn pointer boat and learn about the life of a log driver. Pass by a large steam engine that once powered a lumber mill in Pembroke.

Outside in the village, learn about life through the eyes of a pioneer. Enjoy a guided tour through the schoolhouse and then stroll around the grounds, exploring the blacksmith shop, woodworking shop and lots of other farm equipment buildings. You'll also find lots of educational programs for schools and groups and even museum in a box education kits for parents to rent for their children if you cant make it to the museum!
