Canadian Clay and Glass Gallery is recognized nationally for its critically acclaimed exhibitions, lectures, conferences, classes, workshops, tours, and specialized library, archive, and research centre. It is home to an extensive and ever expanding collection of historical and contemporary Canadian ceramic, glass and enamel art which conserves and promotes a rich and active component of our Canadian cultural heritage.
The gallery is home to four collections in total and has grown to include a wide range of artworks and objects. The permanent collection includes nearly 1,000 works of art in ceramics, glass and copper, all from Canadian artists. The archives includes documents and photos from artists who works in glass and copper. The materials are for use by researchers and artists to help further the artistic practice.
The study collection includes works that can be used in the educational program or for research, allowing them to interacts with the various techniques. The Sinclair Family Library has lots of books, catalogues and more related to the artistic form.
The Gallery is a 10-minute walk from the University of Waterloo and Wilfrid Laurier University and about a 1-hour drive southwest of Toronto.

The Gallery is accessible; however exhibitions and events held in the John A. Pollock Family Courtyard are not fully accessible to visitors with particular mobility aids at this time.
