Butchart Gardens is an 118 year old renowned garden, with 55 acres to explore! They're privately owened and operated by the family is a designated national historical site of Canada which was marked in 2004 for it's one hundreth birthday.
The Sunken Garden took 9 years to create and has over 151 flower beds and 5 acres of gardens. The Japanese Garden marks the entrance and the grand Torii gate invites you inside with Himalayan Blue Poppies that blossom in the late Spring. There's lots of flowers to admire and relax within as you connect with nature.
There's lots more on offer at the gardens too! You'll find a seed and gift store where you'll find hand-packaged seeks to one-of-a-king gifts made locally. You'll also find the rose carousel, with 30 hand-carved wooden animals that are loved by children and adults like. In the Summer there is a concert lawn stage which plays host to a variety of performers during the Summer. Remember to bring a blanket and check the weather before arriving!
They also hold lots of special events throughout the year for Christmas and other special events.

There are three restaurants located on site The Coffee Shop, The Blue Poppy Restaurant, and The Dining Room Restaurant.
