They have drinks and snacks in the Assay Building.
Check the tour times before you go, as they change every season. Make sure you arrive 20 minutes early, and allow up to 90 minutes for your whole experience at the museum - if not longer!
Bring that pocket money, because there is a gift shop filled with gems, merchandise, and great gifts and souvenirs!
They have educational programs for schools which is a great way for them to learn all about the history without sitting in a classroom. They also have before and after the visit resources
The musuem is accessible in some areas, but not all as it is a historic mine. Speak to staff about the areas with limited accessibility
It is recommended to book ahead as tours can fill up fast on weekends and holidays
