Where are we going today?

Did you know that Brackendale is known as the "World Eagle Capital" where in 1994 a world record number of wintering American Bald Eagles were spotted! (There were 3769!) How amazing is that!

Brackendale is also known for the Brackendale Art Gallery Theatre, and if you love arts and culture, then it's just as amazing! The gallery is only just north of Vancouver, so a beautiful part of the country to visit!

Spend the day wandering around the gallery exhibits, or enjoying a concert that will entertain you. If you love some of the art you see, and feel inspired, ask the artist themselves when they visit through the workshops that are put on. A great way to feel creative!

In the winter, the Brackendale Art Gallery Theatre is the perfect place to spend in front of the fire place when you've had a long day of spotting those eagles we told you all about!

Taking kids to see art is a great way for them to start experiencing how art is so subjective. Get them to look at all the colors in the artworks as they make their way around the gallery. What shapes do they see? What techniques do they think they are using?

Art is a great way for children to express themselves, so if the visit means they will be inspired to go home and express themselves through paint and colors, then it's a visit well spent!

The gallery offer a school of art where you can take classes and learn some techniques, and there are historical pieces in the gallery, as well as very cool recycled pieces which will teach kids all about trash becoming treasure.

Are you feeling creative yet!?
