I am a huge blue mountain fan I go their on and off season because of the so many activities I go their every Sunday, Monday,Wednesday, and Saturday. It has a new shop down in the valley that is full of amazing gear and if they don't have it they will order it for you, I am on their race team and their double black diamonds head walls are steep. Their terrain park is amazing, it's great. They also have two new trails +two ridiculously challenging glades that will rip you up if you don't have enough skill. When they do receive fresh snow the powder...Read More

EPIC jumps and lots of fun winter time. They have great lifts by the world's second -best lift manufacturer, leitner poma. Good snowmaking by York, TechnoAlpin, And SMI. Awesome slopes and trails.

Great beginner hill, awesome for PA. The terrain park is probably the best I have been to. I have been to White Face (Lake Placid) in NY and there terrain park doesn't compare. The jumps at the top of sidewinder are huge. You get crazy air and the landing is really smooth. Crazy rails and walls. Some of the trails are a bit overrated, the double blacks are not really double blacks, up at bigger Mnts. they have trails just as hard marked as blues, but hey, its PA. Great learner hill, nice cruising runs, the artificial snow is pretty darn good, and...Read More

From the perspective of someone who knows "Zero" Skiing and wanted to have some skiing experience. I went there with the intention fo giving my four year old daughter an introduction to skiing and was able to get her to do a two hour program called young explorers. During the time I signed up for the first time ski experience which included ski equipment rental and one on one training instructors. worth every penny of the 70$ or so paid for it.
    Some tips

Some tips
- Go early in the day on a regular week day - instructors will be available to give one on one training. i had a couple of great instructors who bought me to a stage where I could ski down a gentle slope and come to a stop without falling - all in three hours. If I had spent a whole day there, i would certainly have had advanced further. The training is done in a "School Hill area" where there are other trainees.
- Kids under five ski free so no tickets for them.
- I went with family members who don't ski - there is no need to get tickets. they can hang around either in the cafeteria above or in the plaza area outside where there are tables and chairs. Only caveat, they cannot go play in the snow (i guess!)
-The only caveat is that the food cafeteria above is overpriced for fastfood quality taste. but thats okay.
-Its great to have a place where you can rent skies, poles, helmets boots etc..
