Completely different experience to the Taronga in Sydney. We rented bicycles (included in Zoofari lodge package) and there is a huge amount of area to explore. If doing it on bikes it is tiring but it is so nice to know that the animals actually have space to roam. This makes it a far better zoo experience. One criticism is the lack of good signposting around the zoo – very easy to get lost and the maps aren’t that great. Would be better if there was a single recommended route like in the Sydney Taronga. We paid extra to do the tiger encounter – which, especially as we were the only two, was awesome. Highly recommend this for any big cat lovers.

Did the roar and snore. Tents were clean and ‘beds’ were surprisingly comfortable. Price seems high when you book but between the amazing good they include, and the quantity of it, and the areas of the park you get to see on the morning walk, that isn’t available to regular ticket holders, it all sums up to an amazing experience.

Fantastic experience, well laid out and the walk/drive/ride is perfect , only have one issue with the whole 2 days and that was the toilets in the main building and the overuse of automatic aerosol fragrance dispensers, and the asthma attack they gave my wife, so NOT asthma friendly at all. the staff when approached about this were great and as helpful as they could be given the limited ability to action anything as the dispensers are automatic, so no faults there.
