A beautiful weekend afternoon can be had by visitors of all ages at Wild Life Sydney Zoo. Growing up in rural Australia gave me the opportunity to meet some of these captive species in the wild. However the information provided and ability to see these sorts of animals up close without risk is quite a beautiful thing.

The staff were super friendly, answered all of our questions with a wealth of knowledge and seemed to seriously care for their little friends.

A behind the glass zoo experience in the heart of the city! Love the sleeping koalas they have outside!

I have a Merlin pass, so of course I went to check out the wild life zoo as a part of that experience. Honestly, after having been to both Taronga Zoo and Featherdale, I was not impressed. I mean, it was cool I guess that all that stuff is in a building so close in the harbour, but if I had to pay to get in instead of having my Merlin pass, I would have been very disappointed.

    No coupons = More $$
This place is small and can be done in less than an hour if you don’t take your time. We came at around 4 PM and had only about 1 hour to walk around because it was booked for a party that day which sounded crazy. I was disappointed because I was not able to hold a Koloa to hug and take pictures with, but at least I get to feed and touch a kangaroo right next to me…that made my day with it being so close to me and it being so cute.

We had the opportunity to see some of the larger ones eat lunch. This was exciting and a little magical to be able to witness.

I was a little disappointed to find the added costs to get to hold the snakes and koalas. It was a worth while spend though as it isn't something you get the chance to do very often.
