Where are we going today?

The Sydney Harbour Bridge Climb is one of those experiences that every child should have, whether you live in Sydney or are just visiting. It's not only FUN, but it gives you incredible views of one of the most beautiful harbours in the entire world, and it's an experience they won't be forgetting in a very long time!

The Sydney Harbour Bridge Climb is perfect for those active kids over 10 years, and it's a great experience to have with the family. There are four different types of tours that you can choose to cross the bridge, and each with varying length and duration, so you can find the one that fits your fitness level the best.

The tours all provide a very different experience, as some can be taken at dawn, or at night, twilight, and of course during the day time.

When you arrive for your tour, the adventure starts when you step through the door. You will go through the pre-climb pre, so you know all of the equipment you will be using, and what will happen on the climb. You just have to bring your sense of adventures, and your sunglasses!

Then, along with your guide leader, you will ascend the arches of this iconic bridge, and hear all the stories about the construction, the history, and how it's used in celebrations today! New Years Eve anyone?

Then, when you reach the summit at 134m above sea level, you just have to look out for all those other Sydney attractions you will recognise - and maybe head to them for your next family day out!

A day out experience that the kids will never forget in Sydney - just make sure you look down!

Teachers corner

They have developed an excursion for years 7-8 science, so why not take them out of the classroom and learning about science on the Sydney Harbour Bridge!.

I'm Hungry!

There are plenty of places in The Rocks to enjoy some food! You can't eat up on the bridge, so fill those tummies before hand!.

Any Top Tips?

Make sure you take your sunglasses and wear comfortable shoes.

Need a little extra help?

You do need to be able to climb stairs on this activity.

Can I get one of those?

You can pick up a fun souvenir from the gift shop, or take home your very own photo from the top!.

Went to Climbfit last Friday evening and thought it was great value for money. For approx $25 - you get access to the walls and harnesses! The staff were great, providing training on how to use the belay/rope system and making sure you were comfortable with the technique before they let you loose. I would recommend getting there before 6pm if possible because by the time we were ready to leave at 7.30 - it was getting packed! Overall - great experience and plan on visiting again!

Great place with ample parking. We're new to climbing and really enjoyed our first experience at climbfit. The harness rental and entrance seemed reasonable. They give you instructions to help get you started and to get you comfortable with the equipment before you go off climbing. I would recommend packing some snacks as you will get hungry from all the climbing and food options are limited.

An awesome place to go for a midweek adrenaline fix. I go to the St Peters gym more often but find the vibe at St Leonards is more fun.. They place great music!

The gym by itself would deserve "Excellent": it has it's own workout gym part, a quite big climbing area with a lot of routes, a great variety of climbs from the most technical slab to the strength-demanding overhang, some lead climbing, and even a bouldering area !

Everything is to love... Except two things:

    - Prices are out of proportion ! Paying $6 just for a more than basic harness rent, and then another $6 for to rent really low quality shoes is just insane... And that still doesn't include the entry cost !

- The gym is DISGUSTING. For the price they have people pay, you would think they clean it at least once a week. Well it is more something like once a month. The mats vary from the "full-of-chalk" white color to the "what-the-heck-is-that?" black stains...

So a very nice gym, but please, PLEASE, hire professional cleaners...
