About this activity

Spare Parts is an award winning puppet theatre who do not always aim specifically for kids but whose productions are always suitable for them unless otherwise stated. They have five seasons a year whose show contents will vary so we can't tell you precisely what you can see but we can tell you that in the foyer there is an extraordinary museum displaying puppets and sets the company has produced in the last 30 years and they have won the Guiness World Record for the largest puppet display.

Their School of Puppetry offers workshops for all sharing the skills of puppet making and performance workshops. Additional workshops are available in the school holidays too

From hand puppets, to junk puppets to paper puppers, there are lots of workshops available for all ages and abilities to enjoy.

They have created over 80 new works and performed to over 2.2 million people! That's impressive!

They provide opportunities for people to train with them too, from designers to writers and want to shape people's careers through the art of puppetry.
