Scenic World

Scenic World at Katoomba offers a mix of incredible experiences for the whole family, in the World Heritage-listed Blue Mountains of Australia.

These experiences are found nowhere else on earth! And all less than 2 hours from Sydney on the train!

First, The Scenic Cableway takes you on 545 metre ride into - or out of - the World Heritage-listed rainforest of the Jamison Valley. (Do you want us to tell you that this is the steepest aerial cable car in the southern hemisphere?!) You will see incredible and iconic sites of the area like Three Sisters and Katoomba Falls. 

At the bottom of the cableway, you will then be introduced to the The Scenic Walkway where the whole family can discover over 2.4kms of boardwalk through the ancient rainforest, including 380 metres of wheel chair accessible walkway!

The Scenic Skyway takes you on a 720 metre journey, 270m above ancient ravines and dazzling waterfalls. You are suspended over Jurassic rainforest as you glide smoothly across the sky! This ride boasts a world first - an Electro-Sceniglass floor. At the flip of a switch, breathtaking views are revealed through the cabin floor.

The 360 degree bird's eye view from the Skyway takes in the Three Sisters, Katoomba Falls, Mount Solitary and the never ending expanse of the Jamison Valley.

At the bottom there are lookouts all over the valley, as well as bush trails to Echo Point.

And finally, The Scenic Railway’s 310m descent will take you through a cliff side tunnel down into an ancient rainforest. (Do you want us to tell you that this is the steepest passenger railway in the world?) Trains depart every ten minutes so you won't have to ever wait long. 

At the base there are 2.4km of Jurassic rainforest waiting for you to walk through.
