The whole family can see fascinating plants and wildlife pass by. Turtles, fish and eels might even pop close to say hello! This 45 minute tour takes 30 people out to learn about interesting features in the rainforest, such as the stinging trees (ouch!) and strangler figs (double ouch!)
Immerse the kids in the Pamagirri Aboriginal Experience. The Australian Indigenous culture is one of the oldest in the world, and here kids can learn all about the customs and traditions that still exist in the rainforest of Kuranda! This takes about an hour and includes a fun dance show! You can also enjoy a 30 minute dreamtime walk!

See if you can spot the sweet and slow wombats and lace monitors, and view local snakes and other bigger reptiles! You can also get your photo taken with a koala!
With shuttle-buses available for the short transfer to Australia's "Village in the Rainforest", you are able to visit the Kuranda market, and the Australian Butterfly Sanctuary, and they can tailor Cairns Day Tours to include the iconic Skyrail Rainforest Cableway, and Kuranda Scenic Railway.

This uniquely fun day out is situated five minutes travel from Kuranda Village, and half an hour by Coach from Cairns in Tropical North Queensland, Australia.
To get there from Cairns, head north on Sheridan St. You will pass the airport on your right, and your street becomes Captain Cook Hwy. You will cross the Barron River Bridge and continue through a number of roundabouts.
At the Smithfield roundabout, turn left onto the Kennedy Hwy. From Henry Ross lookout, keep going 5km and you will see a sign on the right indicating a right turn off for the centre.
