This place is a must to see, tour and have lunch. We took our 2 grandsons from Boston and they were in heaven. Our boys are big train buffs and I do believe they could have stayed there all night. Thank you for all you have preserved for us.

We took 5 kids, and 5 cousins (ages 2 to 14) to the museum on July 5th. It was a great time, and all of the kids had an excellent time! We all thought that Barn 9 was the coolest! It was amazing to us to see such history. I hope to make some charitable contributions to this organization in the future, as it is well worth preserving!
Downside: The restaurant/diner was not as easy as thought. I know they are working hard in there, but should be more prepared to have enough food prepared for lunchtime.
OVERALL: would definitely come back!

This place is awesome. They have hundreds of trains, trams, trolleys. Old Chicago buses and cta trains. You can take a tram or train ride here. Awesome place to spend a weekend day.

This is the largest RR Museum in the Midwest and by far a great cause. Really cool to see the streetcars and large locomotives. The day out with Thomas is a blast for the kids!
