Where are we going today?

Horse? The great outdoors? Family fun? Why...you must be at Otford Farm Trail Rides!

The sweet Otford Farm has been welcoming absolute beginners right up to riding experts since all the way back to the 1960s - that's a lot of family fun that's been had!

The fun is great for those who want to get out into nature and enjoy a relaxing family day out with some beautiful animals. The farm offers a range of horse riding lessons, riding trails and other family getaway activities with over 30 friendly, trained mounts to choose from, plus younger ones enjoy meeting the farm animals. With goats, ducks, and other cute creatures you might want to take your camera!

The somewhat spectacular local scenery includes waterfalls and rainforests, so it's far from just a pony ride!  You're able to select a more challenging approach if your kids are older or more experienced, so there is always something for everyone.

With younger ones Otford Farm offer the Rainforest Ride which is only one hour long and suitable for all levels of ability.

If you really do have animals lovers in the family, then the Kids' Camps are what you might be looking for! They are great for 8 to 16 year olds where they get to learn some new skills, muck in with the daily chores and take active care of the animals. They have bunkhouse options is you want to stay too!

Horse riding and pony rides are a great way to spend some time together as a family, and you're learning a new skill (or improving one you already have) so let's get out and enjoy nature - there is plenty of it in Australia that's worth exploring!

Had a fantastic ride ... to the waterfall... 2 hours. through the creeks, up & down hills. The horses are very fit and well behaved. They didn't try turn for home and this made for a great ride. All of the saddles looked new and were very comfortable. I have been there years ago and will certainly be back.

We organised a ride with a few friends at Otford farm this afternoon and we were all thrilled with how it went.

To be honest, some of us have ridden quite a fair bit before and a few of us could barely sit properly on a horse, so we were interested to see how the ride would pan out.

We were very happy that those of us who were capable were given a few good opportunities for a canter while the rest followed behind.

We had two guides, one called Louise and I can't remember the other ladies name. But they were both excellent, constantly checking...Read More

Myself and my two children arranged to do a trail ride for my daughter's 7th birthday. She was so happy when she realised she could actually ride the horse. She loves them and they are one of her special interests (Aspergers). My 9 year old son took one look and would not have a bar of it. He is moderately to severely autistic. One of the riders stayed with my son and let him play games on her phone while my daughter and I went for a ride AND they refunded the cost for my son, even though he tied up one of their staff. Thank you so much guys. As...Read More

Otford farm is a great place to go for a ride. my niece recently went on a 5 day camp there and had a ball.
The staff were very caring, polite and helpful with everything .
The horses were very well behaved and picked for the levels of each rider.
my niece and I absolutely love the scenery and the staff took the ride in a very professional manner and kept the ride to the level of our experience.
will be getting my niece on another camp in the near future.
    wouldn't go anywhere else.

Went on a camp there, food, rides and all activities were amazing. Each day was a different experience. I am not very good at riding a horse but by the end of the week I was a lot better then I was at the start.

We also enjoyed the stories we were told along the way, about the property, it's history, the personalities of the different horses and experiences of the trainers (some quite funny).

All in all, it was an awesome day. We were all given horses that matched our abilities and we all felt very comfortable.

Thanks for a great ride, we'll be back =)

Thank you so much guys. As a single mum with two autistic kids it can be extremely difficult to do, well anything. Sometimes we try. And sometimes it goes really well - when people like the staff at Otford Farm engage and offer support. We will definately return. Thank you so so much. The experience really made my daughter's birthday special.
