Where are we going today?

Sydney has many icons, and one of them (especially one that's in the hearts of so many people who live there) is the ever fun Luna Park - who hasn't wanted to walk throught that famous mouth!?

Luna Park is an incredibly restored 1930's amusement park where families of all ages can go and just have a great time! And what better location that to enjoy a family day out than with incredible views of Sydney Harbour!

The entry is free, so every family can enjoy the rides and games, as well as the vibrant atmosphere that blankets the whole park.

The rides vary from the thrilling roller coasters to the super kid friendly carousels. so there really is something for everyone. Those thrill seekers will love The Wild Mouse, which gives you 61 seconds of heart-stopping, pulse-pounding fun as you dip and zip out over Sydney's waters!

Thre is also the Tumble Bug. Sounds innocent, butthis ride will fling you up and down, side to side, around and around, and up and over! Be prepared!

The calm and scenic ferris wheel is great for the whole family, and gives you even more spectacular views of the harbour!

Rides like the the colorful Magic Castle and the Whirly Wheel, which is perfect for those little ones who want the ferris wheel experience but might be too scared to go on the big one!

The park still have their original classic sideshow games, where you can win a heap of really great prizes, and the wonderfully restored Coney Island is an old school favourites with the Mirror Maze and Barrels of Fun!

A tradition of Sydney, and as soon as you visit it might just become a tradition of yours!

When can we go?

Hours vary on the day, but usually a 10am or 11am opening.

Closed Tuesday, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

I'm Hungry!

First and most important - carnival treats! Indulge in fairy floss, Pluto Pups, Luna Sticks and a host of other yummy treats!

In addition to those carnival classics, you can sit down and relax with bistro-style food and drinks at Fish and Sips near Coney Island, or there is the Lighthouse Cafe for burgers and hot dogs.

Ice cream parlours also line the park, so you certainly won't go hungry! (Just be careful what you eat before going on those super twisty fast rides!)

You can also bring your own picnic lunch! There are plenty of grassy spots nearby the park to enjoy it (including under the Harbour Bridge!).

Any Top Tips?

Luna Park can host your birthday party! They offer incredible views of the harbour, and My Clubhouse is a popular party venue. .

Need a little extra help?

Many of the rides that generate strong forces or have certain safety requirements limit there use by people with certain disabilities. The promenades and venues, however, are wheelchair accessible. Service animals are welcome. .

It was fun to walk through and finally visit Luna Park! There are lots of children there and many rides to enjoy. The rides aren't all just kiddy rides, either. There are a good number of thrill rides for adults. It's fun to watch people on the scary rides if you're too scared to go on them yourself. I also enjoyed the midway games.

As an amusement park, Luna is nothing to rave about. As something different to do on a Sunday afternoon, it's not a bad place to go to. The rides are a bit outdated and not altogether thrilling. However, you can still get that summer time feeling by enjoying the funnel cakes, corn dogs, and pina coladas available at the countless shops that line the board walk and the park. Don't but the unlimited pass, or any pass for that matter. They don't save you money and there are restrictions as to which rides or outlet will accept them. It's much better...Read More

To have a real fun and feel like a kid again, you should definitely visit Luna Park amusement park. I know I did. I spend the best day there with my fiancé trying almost everything in there. The place is great, the seats in all swings are well protected, and the staff is so nice and friendly. The food is also good and the prices were lower than I expected.

I went with my fiance. He liked most of the rides except the cyclone. He found the cyclone rough and kind if boring.
I enjoyed watching my fiance having fun. This is a good family fun experience.

It's much better to pay for each ride individually. There are also some "free" games available. They let you win a few rounds but just as you're starting to enjoy it, you end up losing and you'll have to pay to continue.
