We bet you've seen pictures of those really cool old steam trains, with those big puffs of steam hugging out of the top? You have? Well, at the Hotham Valley Tourist Railway, you can actually ride one yourself!

The Hotham Valley Tourist Railway allows you to travel back in time with their range of locomotive tours, perfect for the whole family!

The Forest Tramway is an amazingly historical experience. The services are actually hauled by one of their historic steam or diesel locomotives, and as you journey 8km drom Dwellingup to Etmilyn, you will have an informative running commentary to tell you all about the history. It's a pretty important line, because you will actually be travelling along the state's last surviving lightly built development railway.

At the end of the line you get to enjoy a 20 minute walk along a trail through beautiful plants and wildflowers, located in the rare Jarrah Forest!

The iconic Steam Ranger experience departs between May and October, and gives you a 2 hour excursion down to Isandra Siding, which is a 14km journey. At the end, you will get 30 minutes stop over at the station, and on the return you actually get to experience the steepest and most spectacular section of the railway!

Last but not least, the Hotham Valley Tourist Railway offers you the Restaurant Train, complete with it's authentic 1919 Vintage Dining Car, and 1884 Club Car!

You can enjoy a 5 course meal in the dining car or club car, as the train meanders it's way through the night forest - which will look amazing as it's lit up by the lights of the train!
