Hammond Park West Lamington
Where are we going today?
Hammond Park is the jewel of the City's parks and reserves, a lush green oasis in the middle of the outback, housing a diverse range of activities to suit the whole family. It houses a native bird and animal collection that can be seen by those visiting the park and a variety of fish and birds using the pond area. Enjoy the walk through the park to the animal sanctuary, where you can get up close and personal to kangaroos, emus and peacocks.
Hammond Park is also home to the City's impressive miniature Bavarian Castle that is said to have 40,000 gemstones decorating the facade.
Keep the children entertained in the playground whilst preparing lunch on the barbeque. Enjoy a relaxing picnic under the trees or sit in the heritage listed rotunda. This beautiful structure is over 100 years old and is one of the largest in Australia.

Very nice park. There are tennis courts, basketball courts, and soccer field. There is also two playground areas. Both of which are nicely shaded. It's a very peaceful park.
