About this activity

Did you know that Carey's Cave has been described as "one of the most beautiful and fascinating tour cave systems in the country". It certainly is an incredible feat of nature!

Careys Caver offers the chance for the family to explore an incredible underground space, with many aspects that are quite often overlooked on other cave tours. Their tours interact with the cave environment, and offer a relaxed experience so everyone can enjoy something really special!

When you first enter the cave, you will head down a flight of concrete stairs, and then you are transformed into a magical world!

The floors are mostly level, with the occasional steps, but you can be assured there will always be surprises! A tour takes around 75 minutes, and there are seven beautiful chambers of Crystal formations that you can explore on each tour.

There are in fact two tours that you can choose from, that cover different areas of the cave system, so you can pick which one suits your family the best!

The cave tour requires you to go down 30 steps, but after this the pathways are mostly level, so little kids can easily get around with the occasional "pick me up"

Something even more special at Careys Cave, is that you can see some of the best examples of weathered fluting in the entire state. Make sure you bring your camera - it's pretty impressive!

Why not enjoy an adventurous family day out with a difference!
