Because education is so important in the conservation of our worlds rain-forests, the centre offer free guided tours and animal presentations which take place throughout the day. These give kids an invaluable interactive learning experience about the various rainforest wildlife, and also gives you get photo opportunities!
The Wildlife Dome is an immersion exhibit, and this means that the birds (as well as most of the other animals) can roam free just as they would in the wild. They aren't confined to small cages, and instead can fly as they wish in the large aviary enclosure. This is great for both them, and YOU because it means you get more interaction with them and the environment!
Want to feel what it's like to be up in the trees with the birds? Head to the Challenge Course which is set at different heights within the Dome, so that you can the birds can really interact, because you'll be up in the leaves with them!
It's an exhilarating experience where you can learn, interact and appreciate the native fauna.

Any Top Tips?
The Mid Course, at an easier level of difficulty is suitable for beginners, young people and as an introduction for the Hi-Zoom. Reaching no more than 3 metre in height, the mid-course is more suitable for participants afraid of heights. 1 Adult is required to supervise every 2 children between the heights of 120cm and 140 cm..
Need a little extra help?
There is wheelchair access and ramps are provided to get to, and within, the dome. There are hand rails for visually impaired guests on the boardwalks. .
Can I get one of those?
The gift shop is located upstairs at the entrance - don't forget to make a stop and pick up a fun gift!.
The complete Cairns Zoom adventure takes approximately 2 hours. Make sure you give yourself enough time!.

Very nice place. It's mainly birds, but there's also an alligator (or crocodile, not sure), 4 koalas and a few mammals.
One girl gave a feeding tour for the birds and she had lots of knowledge of them. My favorite one was Jojo the white coocatoo and a black and red cocatoo. They are both males and lile to be pet.
-1 star because holding a koala + photo shoot is 60$.
I'll definitely go back if I visit Cairns again!
I'll upload pictures later.
