Where are we going today?

The Australian Garden is home to a host of children's activities, including The Kids’ Backyard play space with lots to explore including the Hortasaurus; and The Desert Discovery Camp where kids can dig in the sand, explore the fossils and footprints and discover what is hidden in the sands of central Australia. Plus wading in the Rockpool Waterway is permitted between the flags.

There are also several walking trails of varying length, a bike trail, and a designated woodland picnic area. See 170,000 plants representing more than 850 different plant varieties as you travel around.

There are activities, programmes and events throughout the year, often in the school holidays and geared at families, worth checking up on.

Great natural landscape with lots of lovely walks and areas for children. Highly recommend for an enjoyable day out. Plenty of parking and no entry fee!

The kiosk sells the same food as the cafe, which is rather pointless. It should instead sell hot food, which neither the cafe nor the kiosk does. The park itself is great, lots to walk and see. By the way, if Google tells you to take Grant St and Laurie Cleary Lane, don't go that way. There's a gate blocking access halfway through. Head south on M420 and turn right onto Ballarto Rd instead.

Much better than the ones in the city. The whole area is nicely landscaped, there are directional signs and _all the plants are signed_. This is a must for someone who can only tell a flower from a tree or a bush... sometimes.
