My husband and I decided at the last minute to go away over the Christmas holiday period. It was a couple of days before New Years and we thought we would have bucklies hope of getting in anywhere but thought we would try our luck anyway. We had friends staying at this park and so I looked up availability on the internet (we didn't think we would get anything until after new years). The website was showing a vacancy for a cabin so I rang straight away to confirm. I was advised that there was a vacancy. I told the guy that I would check with my husband...Read More

Just spent the night here. What a well kept park. It is a credit to the owners and staff. Amenities are spotlessly clean. Huge camp kitchen, and games/ tv room.Large sites and very comfortable cabins. This place has everything.Short walk to the shops.Highly recommended.

Fantastic location close to town. Quiet surrounds. Beautifully clean and appointed cabins. And, most importantly, fantastic service! Thank you so much Bruce and Mandy - can't wait to come back and stay with you again!

I have stayed at the Apollo Bay Holiday Park now on 3 different occasions and cannot praise the location, cleanliness of the park or the owner Bruce enough. Great kitchen facilities for campers and the amenities blocks were very well kept. Looking forward to visiting again.

Very nice caravan park
We very much enjoyed our two nights stay at the Apollo Bay Holiday Park. It’s perfectly situated; within walking distance to the villages center, but still very calm. We also appreciated the nice and clean amenities and camp kitchen - one of the cleanest nicest parks we had visited. We got a warm welcome from the owner and could count on his help for any question we had during our stay.
We are looking forward to come back to this nice place!

I told the guy that I would check with my husband and ring back if we wanted to book. I rang back 10 minutes later and made the booking (well so I thought). I provided my credit card details to secure the booking. Something happened whilst he was trying to make the booking and I had to provide the credit card details again. After providing my credit card details again I was advised that the booking was confirmed. So my husband and I spent 1.5 hours packing and 3 hours driving to Apollo Bay.
Upon arrival I went to the office to check in. I was greeted by Bruce. I told him my name and that we had a booking for a cabin. He told me no I didn't have a booking. My heart sank. I said yes I do. He said that I hadn't booked with his park. So I went through the chain of events with him. He recalled that I rang the first time and enquired about the cabin. He got very puffy chested and told me that I didn't ring back and book and that I must have booked with another park. He rang the other park in Apollo Bay and they didn't have a booking either. I called out to my husband who was in the car park with our friends to tell him what was going on. Bruce was very aggressive and loud towards my husband too as my husband backed me up about the 2 phone calls I made. Bruce made my husband I look like complete idiots in front of our friends and our children . Thankfully Bruce was able to pull a rabbit out of a hat and get us some accommodation so we didn't have to travel back to Melbourne.
Mistakes happen in life. I feel that Bruce should have been honest and said that his booking system failed and apologised. The way he reacted was completely unprofessional and over the top. When I got home I checked the call records on our home phone (where I had made the bookings from) and only the number of the Apollo Park Holiday Park came up.
Aside from the booking problem we enjoyed our stay. The park is very well kept and the facilities are great. We particularly liked the camp kitchen area.
